Post-build phase

The final stage of the build process, the post-build phase covers the last steps before moving into your brand new home.

WHAT TO EXPECT

This is the moment you've been waiting for – your dream home is built and is almost ready for you to move in. Once you get to this post-build phase, a settlement meeting will be arranged to organise final documentation, warranty and of course, your keys.

Inspection, settlement and handover

As your home nears completion and your move in day approaches you’ll meet with your Construction Supervisor for the Practical Completion Inspection (PCI).

This is our opportunity to take you through your home showing you any features of your home, demonstrate how to use any key features,  discuss how best to care for your home once you move in & the final steps before we handover the keys.

Maintenance and SimCare

Once you're in your new home, our industry leading SimCare program begins. The program includes a three-month warranty and seven-year structural guarantee, plus a guide with best practice tips and recommendations to keep your new home beautiful and safe long after your move in day.

After living in the home for three months, you can complete a Post Construction Warranty Form so we can rectify any completed work that needs fixing. The seven-year structural guarantee covers things like concrete foundations and structural brickwork.

For any maintenance work, we have a full time Maintenance Customer Relationship Coordinator who will ensure that all rectification is carried out in a timely manner, with as minimal disruption as possible.
