Simonds expands in Melbourne’s north
Victoria’s number one builder, Simonds Homes, is opening a new display centre at Mernda Villages, the thriving growth area north of Melbourne.
In a significant investment for the family-owned building company, the display will feature six popular Simonds Homes designs including the Liana 3200, Vaucluse 3500, Clovelly 3600, Villa Grande 5100, Saville 3400 and the Amberlea 4400.
For 60 years, my family has been designing and building homes for Victorian families, says company founder Gary Simonds. We know that choosing a home is one of the most significant decisions people can make and seeing that home in a display helps them to know they are making the right choice. The Mernda Villages display includes four new homes which open on March 28.
Close to the city but with all the benefits of a natural bush location, Mernda is in the heart of one of Victoria’s fastest growing areas. Located just outside of Melbourne, it will include a retail centre and supermarket, two primary schools, parks, gardens and ample open space.
Established in 1949, Simonds Homes builds 1500 houses a year and employs three generations of the Simonds family.
As well as a range of houses to suit first-home buyers, Simonds’ designs homes to suit growing families and retirees, priced from just $150,000 for a three-bedroom, two-bathroom Atherton home. House and land packages are priced from less than $250,000, with the average contract just $220,000.
The Simonds Homes display at Mernda Village is in Perry Street, Mernda. It opens weekdays from noon until 5pm and on the weekend between 11am and 5pm.
